Opening a second location on the profits
“You could offer me $50,000 to forget everything he’s ever told me and I would just laugh at you. Because in six months, he’s made me more profit than that.”

Invitation from Tim Bloom
A room of local business owners working together to make more money from the customers they already have.
Only one business per industry. First come, first served.
Every seat belongs to a different kind of business, so nobody at the table is your competitor.

Tim Bloom
I am a multi-industry entrepreneur with over three decades of operational leadership experience. I have:
My career has consistently required:
Tim is a second-generation operator in the Coachella Valley, with nearly four decades of experience building and scaling service and product-based businesses. By implementing the FRAP system, he grew revenue from his window cleaning clients from just under $1MM in 2024 to $3.85MM in 2026.
Today, Tim leads SmarterBusiness Strategies & Consulting (https://SmarterBusiness.me), where he works with business owners to build companies that are not only profitable but also predictable and sustainable. His experience spans the trades, professional services, retail, and beyond. He has spoken at events hosted by California State University’s Center for Entrepreneurship and was a finalist for the CSUSB Entrepreneur of the Year award. Tim has both trained with and been mentored by many of the most recognized names in business.
Tim facilitates the Coachella Valley FRAP Chapter because he believes the right peer group can accomplish what no consultant alone can. In the room, his role isn’t to lecture, it’s to guide the conversation, maintain accountability, and ensure every member leaves with a practical FRAP move that delivers measurable results.
He lives in Yucaipa with his wife, Robin. His daughter, Katie, serves as Marketing Director for the Sacramento Kings NBA team and lives in Sacramento with her son, Julian. Outside of business, Tim is an avid reader, enjoys RV travel, and has logged nearly 1,500 miles mountain biking in Southern California’s San Bernardino Mountains and San Jacinto Mountains.
FRAP is the profit formula that helps small business owners make more money from the customers they already have, using four levers: Frequency, Referrals, Average Ticket and Pricing.
The 4-minute explainer: the four levers every profitable business pulls.
$50,000 in the bank. Line of credit untouched for six months.
“When I started the FRAP Challenge, I was sinking. But it’s been six months now, and I haven’t touched our line of credit, not once, and I have $50,000 in the bank.”

Tell us a little about your business. If your industry’s seat in the Coachella Valley, CA chapter is still available, you’ll pick a time for a quick call next.
No pressure. No pitch. Just a quick conversation to see if this makes sense for your business.
A FRAP Chapter is a local group of business owners, one per industry, who meet on a regular schedule to make more money from the customers they already have, and who promote each other to those customers. FRAP is the profit formula that helps small business owners make more money from the customers they already have, using four levers: Frequency, Referrals, Average Ticket and Pricing.
Owners of local businesses in and around Coachella Valley who already have customers and want more profit from them. There is one seat per industry, so the room is never full of your competitors. When your industry’s seat is filled, it’s filled.
A referral networking group meets so members can pass individual referrals. A chamber of commerce is civic and broad, and open to every business in town. A FRAP Chapter is commercial and narrow: one seat per industry, built with one specific purpose, to grow each member’s profit. Many owners belong to a chamber as well, and the two do not compete.
You share a few details about your business, then pick a time to talk with me. It’s a quick conversation to see whether your industry’s seat is still open and whether the chapter makes sense for your business. No pressure. No pitch.
